Research On Environmental Remediation Of Old Residential District Of Hefei In1980s&1990s

Today with the rapid city urbanization,improvement and government of the urbanenvironment plays an increasingly important role in urban development. A city isconstituted by a plurality of residential areas. Residential area is the cell and epitomeof the city. Residential environment construction levels reflect the level of urbandevelopment.Residential environment rehabilitation is an important part of residentialenvironment construction and the eternal theme of urban construction.It’s also acomplicated and systematic project.The residential buildings in1980s and1990s are widely distributed in HefeiCity.It’s just about20to30years to now. The quality of these buildings is basicallygood.And they can be on service for a long time.But these buildings have somefaultiness like the unreasonable of functional layout because of the influence of thedevelopment of social economy and some other factors of that time. Used for manyyears,old residential areas have many problems like substances reduce consumption,and functional decline, obsolete facilities.With people’s living standards improvingand the accelerated pace of urban renewal,this has become very urgent issue that wemust face.This paper aims to research residential environment on Hefei City in1980s and1990s.By field work,analysis of the survey and questionnaires,we give a conclusionof the quality, appearance, traffic, public green, public service facilities and municipalfacilities of the old residential areas. Combining with the international related theoriesand successful experience about the environmental reconstruction of old residentialareas, affecting factors related to environmental remediation of the old residentialareas are researched.Guided by sustainable development, people-oriented andeconomic principles, through discussing the measures of reconstruction and exploringfeasible ways of old residential environment improvement, we do our best to satisfypeople’s demands and improve the living standards of households.It also can providea copy of valuable information for the improvement of urban environment and old residential environment in Hefei.
