The formulas of interior vapor cloud explosion energy, blast waves and explosion hazard radius were established according to the basic conditions of explosion and gas explosion mechanism in this paper. Combined with the experimental data, the influence factors of explosion force were got from the fitting formula of the explosive shock wave overpressure change. In addition, the cause of indoor gas leakage, leakage calculation and leakage law were investigated briefly. Based on the leakage diffusion and damage effect of the explosion, fire and explosion prevention measures were put out and the corresponding emergency plans were formulated.According to the theory of explosion model, the formulas of the vapor cloud explosion, energy shock wave and explosion hazard radius were established by using the TNT equivalent method, the pressure of the explosion shock wave was proportional to leakage time and amount, and inversely proportional to the distance from the explosion center. Results got from the fitting formula based on experimental data of gas explosion shock wave overpressure showed the power relations of shock wave pressure and the gas cloud radius, and the pressure was inversely proportional to the distance from the vapor cloud explosion center. The overpressure value got from the fitting formula of experiment and TNT equivalent calculation all showed that, the explosion overpressure increases with increasing leakage. When radius of the gas cloud becomes larger, and the distance from the vapor cloud explosion center increase, the difference of pressure value got from the TNT equivalent calculation and fitting formula of the experiment becomes smaller. According to the calculation formula of explosive force, the factors that influence the explosive force were analysed, including obstacle, ignition and fuel concentration etc. When the flame was near the obstacles, tensile deformation appeared and the unburned mixture became turbulent which exacerbated the burning velocity of the flame. Propagation of explosion flame and the shock wave were also effected by the size and position of the ignition energy. The larger the ignition energy is and the closer leaking gas cloud center is, the more damage the fire and explosion will cause. It is prone to cause fire and explosion accidents when the concentration of the fuel reaches the explosion limit range. When the fuel concentration increased from the lower explosion limit to the upper explosion limit, explosion shock wave pressure would magnitude through the change from small to big and small process. In addition, the damage effect of the overpressure and the thermal explosion to the build and people were also investigated in the paper.According to the research of gas leakage and explosion of the devastating effect, preventive measures were proposed from the point of fire, flammable gas cloud formation conditions, gas facilities and safety awareness of staff. The analysis showed that structure with node ductility and good integrity was suitable for the building. For example, the cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame, shear wall, simplified structure and steel frame structure are of good antiknock performance. And the formula for calculating the venting area of the building was proposed correspondingly. In the end, emergency plan for the indoor gas leakage and explosion accident was developed accordingly, in order to reduce the explosion damage.
