Shock absorber is the damping element of vehicle suspension,and can attenuate the relative vibration of sprung and unsprung mass effectively to improve the smoothness and stability of vehicle.At present,telescopic-damper is applied widely,and the characteristic is determined by valve parameters.Due to lack of credible design theory of valve parameters,traditional design method can’t keep pace with the rapid development of vehicle.So it has very important value on theoretics and practices to study valve parameters design and CAD software.The thesis studied the design model and method of valve parameters as well as CAD software development,the specific studies as follows:The throttle characterstic of damping component was analyzed.Based on the shock absorber oil path model at pre and post valve opening,the mathametic model of valve parameters design and least square approximation optimization design method based on velocity characteristic of shock absorber were proposed.According to the dynamic model of double mass linear system of vehicle,the design formula of optimal damping ratio was proposed.The mathematic model of velocity characteristic was established by vehicle parameters and optimal damping ratio.The mathametic model and optimization design method based on vehicle parameters of valve parameters were proposed.Based on above research,the CAD software was developed by Visual Basic 6.0 and AutoCAD.The function of software consists of valve parameters design, data saving and drawings marking.The performance test of designed shock absorber with the software and whole vehicle vibration test were carried out.The results show that the design model and method of valve parameters are effective and the CAD software is credible.It has very important value on theoretical research and practical application to shock absorber design.
