Salvia miltiorrhiza is one of the traditional Chinese medicine used most commonlywhich treat coronary heart disease.With wild salvia miltiorrhiza resources become fewer,nowsalvia miltiorrhiza are cultivated in many areas of the whole country. In recent years, oftenclinicians reflect the poor quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge and clinical effect, good timesand bad. As often outcrossing plants, their types of rich, resulting in Salvia in a mixed state,quality of goods and production is very unstable. It is necessary to collect and evaluate Salviagermplasm resources, from which we can select to find good varieties to ensure the stabilityand superiority of the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.Based on the survey of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge resources,the numerical taxonomicmethod was used for the cluster analysis of30Salviamiltiorrhiza Bge strains with23morphological characters.In the genetic distance of10.19,Salvia germplasm program aredivided into six categories and morphological characteristic of each type is obvious.Principalcomponent analysis showed that the22characters can be consolidated for the8principalcomponents and their accumulative contribution ratio amounted to77.239%.The strains are different obviously in leaf size, leaf color, leaf shape, plant type, leafletnumber,number of branches, plant height,crown width,flower color, inflorescence length andflower number of rounds which could be basis for classification of Salvia based on clusteringand principal component analysis.Weight of the liposoluble and hydrosoluble compositions indicators was determined byvariation coefficient method.According to the pharmacopoeia standard and weightscores,strain DS20,67,5,62,DS12and90were high-quality varieties.The cluster analysis and genetic diversity of30Salviamiltiorrhiza Bge strains,Salviamiltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba.and S. przewalskii Maxim. were analyzed using7ISSR primers. Atotal of95polymorphic loci were detected among these materials with average13.6polymorphic loci per ISSR primers, and the percentage of polymorphic loci was87.16%. Cluster analysis showed that in the similarity coefficient of0.73432materials were dividedinto nine groups. Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.f.alba. alone as one group, genetic distance apartother types is furthest. Salvia przewalskii Maxim and16large leaves gather together, showingcloser relationship.Genetic relationship between the group including S. przewalskii Maxim.and other groups is also more distant. Clustering results in the two levels are quite different.
