The test administrated with different doses of RIP to the lacking milkSD renewal rats, and used the anatomy technology, immunohistochemistry technology,flow cytometry and histochemistry technology method to detecte the development ofsmall intestine, the quantities of goblet cells, mast cells, SIgA and IgG positive cellsin the small intestinethe, immune organ indexes and the numbers of T lymphocytesubpopulations to study the mucosal immune function of RIP on the lacking milkrenewal rats and and provide theories basis for exploitation of the Radix IsatidiaPolysaccharide (RIP) intended to be used as piglet immunity,which is green, noadverse effect and no drug residue. The results showed that:(1) the effect of RIP on the body weight and the small intestinal weight of lackingmilk renewal rats,0-28days of age, the effect was not significant.35-49days of age,RIP could add the body weight and the small intestinal weight of the renewal ratssignificantly.(2)RIP could promote the morphological development to the small intestine of thelacking milk renewal rats.It could enlarge the villi height of the small intestine, lowerthe crypt depth of the small intestine and increase the value of V/C. The doses of RIPhaving the best effect on villi height, crypt depth, value of V/C were increased by thedays.(3)RIP could increase the quantities of goblet cells in the small intestine of thelacking milk renewal rats. From the duodenum to ileum, the numbers of goblet cellswere gradually increased. The doses of RIP having the best effect on goblet cells inthe small intestine were increased by the days.(4)RIP could increase the quantity of mast cells in the small intestine of the lackingmilk renewal rats. From the duodenum to the ileum, the numbers of mast cells weregradually decreased. The doses of RIP having the best effect on goblet cells in the small intestine were increased by the days.(5)RIP could increase the contents of IgA and IgG in peripheral blood of the lackingmilk renewal rats,and the best doses of RIP were increased by the days.(6)RIP could increase the thymus gland index and spleen index of the lacking milkrenewal rats. The doses of RIP which had the best effectiveness in the thymus glandand spleen index were decreased by the days.(7)RIP could raise the numbers of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+T cells in the lacking milkrenewal rats.7-28days of age, the numbers of CD3+T cells in the A,B and C groupswere significant different from those in B group.7-21days of age, the numbers ofCD4+T cells in the A,B and C groups were significant different from those in B group.The numbers of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+T cells and CD4+/CD8+vaules in each groupwere decreased by the days.In a word, the RIP could add the body weight and the small intestinal weight ofthe lacking milk renewal rats, raise the quantities of goblet cells and mast cells, andboost the SIgA and IgG positive cells in the small intestine, promote the developmentimmune organ and increase the numbers of Tlymphocyte subpopulations in peripheralblood.RIP could increase the immunity of the lacking milk renewal rats.
