Iexpression Significance Of Γ-synuclein And Cerbb-2in Endometrial Carcinoma

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical and pathological significances of y-synuclein and CerbB-2expressions in endometrial carcinoma(EC) and the relationship between them.METHODSImmunohistochemical methods were used to detect the expression of y-synuclein and CerbB-2.The correlations of expression levels and endometrial carcinoma clinicopathological characteristic were analyized with the age,stage, histopathology grade,lymph node metastasis,depth of myometrial invasion and ascitic fluid cytology. The overall survival was examined by Kaplan-Meier methods and was analyzed by log-rank test,multivariate analysis were perfor-med with Cox’s proportional hazard regression model.RESULTS(1) We found that the positive rates of y-synuclein and CerbB-2expressions in normal endometrium and endometrial carcinoma samples were0(0/ 12),8.3%(1/12) and48.3%(29/60),55%(33/60) respectively,the difference was significant(p<0.05).(2) y-synuclein was associated with stage,the depth of myometrial invasion, lymph node metastasis(p<0.05),but was not related to the age,histopathology grade or the positive ascites cytolog(p>0.05);The expression raw was higher in the higher surgical staging(p<0.05).(3) CerbB-2was associated with stage,he depth of myometrial invasion (p<0.05),while was not related to lymph node metastasisit,histopathology grade or the positive ascites cytolog(p>0.05).(4) There was a statistically positive relationship between the expressions of γ-synuclein and CerbB-2(r=0.406P=0.001).(5) The Kpan-Meier analysis showed that the y-synuclein and CerbB-2were related with the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma(p<0.05).(6) The multivariate analysis Cox proportion hazards regression model showed that the y-synuclein was related with the prognosis significantly (p<0.05).CONCLUSIONS1. The expression of y-synuclein was associated with stage,the depth of myometrial invasion, lymph node metastasis,and it is expected to be a useful marker for the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma.2. The expression of CerbB-2was associated with stage and the depth of myometrial invasion,and it may play an important role in the prediction for malignancy and prognosis of endometrial carcinoma3. There is a positive correlation between the expression of y-synuclein and CerbB-2,and they are related to the progression of malignant endometrial carcinoma and poor prognosis;y-synuclein and CerbB-2co-expression may predict poor prognosis and instruct postoperative therapy.
