| Purpose:To inherit the traditional Chinese medicine, with the application of science techniques, observe the expression of cyclooxygenase-1(COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) in patient’s mucosa with peptic ulcer disease before and after treatment. Explore the possible role of Yiqi-huoxue formula in adjusting the expression rates of COX-1and COX-2,and research the possible mechanisms of Yiqi-huoxue formula in the treatment of peptic ulcer.Methods:With the principles of randomized and double-blind,40cases of peptic ulcer patients are divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group(20cases) are treated with Yiqi-huoxue Formula and omeprazole, the control group(20cases) are treated with omeprazole only.Take four weeks for a course of treatment. The patients are observed symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine, before and after treatment. We detected the expression of COX-1and COX-2in mucosa of all the cases before and after treatment.Results:After the treatment, the expressions of COX-1and COX-2in the treatment group and control group are higher than that before treatment, the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05). And COX-1and COX-2of the treatment group increase more significantly than which in the control group. Analysis of the total accumulated scores of TCM symptoms:the total accumulated scores of symptoms and signs after treatment in the treatment group has a more significant reduction than that before treatment, the difference has meaning in the statistics(P<0.05), compared with the control group are significantly lower, the difference also has meaning in the statistics(P<0.05).Conclusions:Yiqi-huoxue Formula may improve the microcirculation of mucosa by increasing the COX-1and COX-2expression levels, then to accelerate mucosal repair itself, and enhance the capacity of the gastrointestinal mucosa in the healing process if self-protection. |
