It is the oldest monogragh in existence.The monogragh interprets the knowledge of women’s beauty and health care,consisting of13sections,close to20000words.This monogragh collects beauty proved recipes widely existing in not only before the Ming Dynasty,but the present age and compiles276prescriptions which are classified in sections.This monogragh is complete in format,well-organized in style and abundant in content.Using the method of literature study,this paper carries out a all directional and multi-layer analysis to the Xiang Lian Run Se.This paper proves the author’s life and authorship,inquiries the social background information,and tracks back the background and the seasons which contribute to the completion of this monogragh.According to prove to other editions,the paper analyzes the continuity and source of this edition.This paper sorts out the beauty prescription in Xiang Lian Run Se, in which the characters of usage of medicine are analyzed. According to the confirmation of the source of beauty prescription, this paper tracks back the source of art of cosmetics, medicaments and prescription.
