Objective: To observe the pro-phagocytic signal calreticulin (CRT) and anti-phagocytic signal CD47expression in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC),to discuss the role of CRT and CD47in the occurrence and development of LSCCand the relevance with T lymphocytes infiltration. Methods: The expression of CRT and CD47mRNA in42cases of LSCC and18cases of peri-cancer tissues was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chainreaction(RT-PCR),the immunohisto-chemistry was performed to detect the proteinlevel of CRT and CD47in68cases of LSCC and20cases of peri-cancer tissues, andT lymphocytes infiltration of tumor parenchyma and interstitial marked by themonoclonal antibodies of CD3+and CD45RO+.Results: The expression of CRT and CD47was significantly higher in LSCC thanin peri-cancer tissue both in mRNA and protein levels(P<0.05). The expressin ofCRT and CD47protein increased with the increase of T stage, clinical stage andlymph node metastasis of patients with LSCC(P<0.05), CD47protein waspositively correlated with the expression of CRT(r=0.89P<0.05),and the expressionof CRT protein also related with the high infiltration of CD45RO+T lymphocytes(P<0.05),but CD47had no correlation with the infiltration of CD3+T lymphocytesand CD45RO+T lymphocytes in tumor stroma.(P>0.05).Conclusions: CRT and CD47can play an important role in the tumorigenesis anddevelopment of LSCC,the exprssion of CRT is associated with infiltration ofCD45RO+T lymphocytes, which may be a new anti-tumor immune mechanisms ofLSCC. |
