The rapid development of China’s economy ushers in an upsurge of Chinese learningworldwide, and the Chinese learners from all over the world become more and more. As animportant carrier in the Chinese teaching, the textbook is an essential tool to Chinese learnersand Chinese teachers for foreigners. However, there are too many kinds of the currentirregular textbooks. Particularly, the nationalized textbooks advocated by the foreign-learningcircle don’t reflect essential requirements in nationalization truthfully without sound purposesin either form or content. Taking an example of Korea, more valuable Chinese textbooks arelack in the current markets, and there is a great market potential behind phenomenon withsharp increases of kinds and quantity. This makes us to consider seriously the way tocompilation of the nationalized Chinese textbooks.By studying the Chinese material First Step in Korean edition and Bo Ya in Chinese editionfirst in the paper, the two textbooks are compared and analyzed comprehensively in form andcontent in questionnaire survey. The study finds that the Chinese textbooks in Korean editionare more according with requirements of the learners in Korea in form, but is not as good asthat of Chinese edition in content. For this reason, the Authentic Chinese, a Korea’snationalized material (Bo Ya adapted in Korea), is studied further in the paper. The adaptedmaterial is improved to great extent in either form or content, but is not recognizedcompletely by the learners in Korea. These textbooks are short of aims and unapparentnationalization in fact. According to the foregoing studies, we put forth some correspondingsuggestions aiming at the key points in compilation of the Korean nationalized textbook inthe paper. It is intended for providing references for compilation of the Korea’s nationalizedtextbooks by the study in the paper, so as to boost Korea’s localized development of China’sChinese textbooks.
