The teaching of phonetics is a very important part in teachingChinese as a second language. It runs through the preliminary stage ofChinese teaching and learning. No matter for teachers or for learners, theteaching and learning of phonetics is the most fundamental and thus themost important. Pinyin, as the main means in phonetics teaching, greatlyinfluences the teaching and learning effect.Based on the comparison between the chinese and spanish phonetics,and the theory of second language aquisition,the present research makesa prediction of the phonetic errors made by the chinese learners inspanish-speaking areas, and further testifies the prediction. Some teaching suggestions are proposed in the use of textbooks, in addition tothe compiling of the teaching material for Chinese vowels, consonantsand intonation. |
