A Research On Interrogative Sentences In The Law Of Yangzi

"The law of YangZi" is YangXiong’s representative works at the end of theWestern Han Dynasty, which is a parody of" Analects of Confucius" and written."The law of YangZi" is one of the most important works of YangXiong,it is not onlyof Yang Xiong, but also the history of the Chinese language study essential writings.However,judging from the current situation,the study for the language of“Yang Zi FaYan”is not enough.Especiallyfor its interrogative sentence,therewas not thesismakingmonographic study.Based on this situation,we will put an emphasis on thestudy ofinterrogative sentence of“Yang Zi Fa Yan”in this article.This paper expounds the value of researching interrogative sentences in “Thelaw” and the classification standard of using these interrogative sentences."The law"used the form of a dialogue, in which the interrogative sentence is very rich, thecorpus of interrogative sentence research is valuable. Based on exhaustive collectionof "The law"’s interrogative sentence, this paper uses three plane grammar ofsyntactic, semantic as the main theory, and the pragmatic as the secondary theory,using the research methods of combination of static description, quantitativeanalysis and qualitative analysis,tring to give a comprehensive, systematicdescription of the interrogative sentence in "The law" to make basic contribution tothe further study of interrogative sentences in the Western Han Dynasty.The paper is composed of six parts.The first part briefly introduces " The law",reviews the research situation of "The law" and this paper studies the significanceand research method.The second part mainly studies the interrogative sentences in“The law”.First of all it studies the the yes-no question classification and the answersetences are studied.Secondly it the wh-question classification,the interrogativepronoun development,and the wh-question’s answer setences are mainlystudied.Next the characteristics of positive and negative questions are studied.Finally the choice question classification and answer sentences are studied andexplained thoroughly.The third part mainly studies the measurement question in “Thelaw” which use surmise adverb:" cover" and " its".The fourth part mainly studies theuse of rhetorical question in “The law”.The fifth part mainly studies the modal wordsin “The law”.On the basis of analyzing and describing interrogative sentences,wemake a summary that from ancient times to the middle transition period,“The law”’sinterrogative sentences embodies language inheritance,it can reflect the actual statusof the language at that time.
