Along with the development of our country economy and the highereducation, higher education reform continuously, the establishment of theuniversity brand is more and more important for the development of theuniversity and the competition of higher education. Both university culture andidentity are related to the survival and development of the university. Universityidentity is the embodiment of the strength of the university in some way. It isthe base of winning a social sure and trust. At the same time, it is intangibleassets of university and the important embodiment of mental gist. In order toobtain more social support and more opportunities for the development ofuniversity, construction of university identity has become an important issue ofthe university.In this paper, from the angle of the university identity image designdevelopment, we analyzed the inner relationship between the visual identityinterpretation of the university and the spirit construction of university.Combined with the realistic situation of university education, we discussed theapplication of the visual identity design and the transmission of the visualimage. The reality function of the visual identity design is also discussed, aswell as the importance of the future development of university.Visual identity design is an important part of the construction of campusculture. It helps to cultivate unique campus culture, casting university brand.Under the new situation, the university should seize the opportunity of thedevelopment to construct the visual identity of its own characteristic. Throughthe visual identity of the design and construction, the university conveys thedevelopment concept to social, which can be approved by the public of social,then create better environment and more opportunity for the development ofthe university, keeping its active life.
