A Comparative Study Between "A Course In Chinese" And "Boya Chinese"(Primary Chinese)

Textbook plays an important role in teaching Chinese as aforeign language. As elementary comprehensive textbooks , Both“A Course in Chinese”and“Boya Chinese”（Primary Chinese）carrythe basic knowledge and bear skills training, so their quality areparticularly important. However, we have not found any researchliterature on the two sets of textbooks until now. the paper mainlyuses statistical methods to describe and analyze the status of thetwo sets of textbooks in terms of contents of texts，new words，grammatical points and text exercises. Then the paper summers upthe achievements and shortcomings of the two sets oftextbooks ,and puts forward some suggestions, in order to providea reference for writers to promote the improvement of textbookcompilation .
