Since 1998 the Indonesian government lifted a ban on Chinese, Chinese in Indonesia is reviving again. In Indonesia, not only the local Chinese learn Chinese, but also other nations of Indonesia are a keen to learn Chinese. This situation generates the teachers, textbooks and teaching issues. As a bridge between teachers and students, textbook has a direct influence on teachers and students. In this paper, we choose two Indonesian domestic textbook 《Yu miao hua yu》and 《Qian dao hua yu》as the object of study, we focus on the comparative analysis from these parts:teaching materials,texts,vocabulary,grammar,exercises and recommendations. We hope this paper play a role in compile Indonesian local Chinese teaching materials.This paper is divided into seven parts:Introduction:this section introduces the research background and significance, research status, subjects and methods, Indonesian Chinese education status and materials usage.Comparative analysis of teaching style:we compare and analyse the two sets of textbooks teaching style and the similarities and differences between the two in terms of teaching style.Comparative analysis of the text:we compare and analyse the two sets of textbooks from the three aspects, the forms of text, themes of text and localization of text. And recommend on forms of text, themes of text and localization of text, selection.Comparative analysis of the vocabulary:this part introduces the vocabulary of the two sets of textbooks, vocabulary grade distribution and vocabulary explanations. We compare and analyze the similarities, differences in these areas, and write some comments.Comparative analysis of grammar:this part introduce the number of grammar items, arrangement of grammar, and the explanation of grammar.Exercise part:this part introduce the exercises after-school textbooks and workbooks. Comparing and analysing the kinds of questions, similarities and differences between the two sets of textbooks. Otherwise we put forward some recommendation on number distribution of the two sets of textbooks.
