Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance selected for the national intangible cultural heritage in2008is native folk dance in Shenzhen.The intangible cultural heritage after rescuing hasn’t received extensively by masses in a society cause of light publicity nowadays. Therefore,with the help of visual communication, the intangible cultural heritage will be made inherit and develop.Through research methods of research, literature and comparative analysis, This paper Using related knowledge and principles of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, Folklore Culture, Visual Communication and Arts Design, is examined and analyzed Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance and visual communication. Researching on elements of visual communication and thinking about how to use the artistic value of Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance to make visual communication so as to achieve a good effect of spreading.This paper describes Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance relevant academic background, historical background and present situation after the protection and dissemination of analysis and summary of their artistic value.Secondly, it analyzes the relationship between visual communication and protection of intangible cultural heritage,gives a brief introduction to important elements in the process of visual communication, and then sums up visual communication process of Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance.Finally, this paper provide the way in reference of visual communication on Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance on the basis of the previous study and giving suggestions respectively from the print media, electronic media and new media. Then,it can be confirmed by the cases about visual communication of the domestic and international intangible cultural heritage and the author’s designs.Heritage and protection of Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance by using visual communication can not be confined to the theoretical level,but also should explore in a real environment to discuss and confirmed in practice.Protection and heritage of Shatoujiao Fish Lantern Dance related to measures and methods of Guangdong and the country.
