The path of the development of human society has been proved that every society and every country will inevitably move toward to modernization, so as to grow as a modern society. It is also the history of the development of human civilization.The2011is the100th anniversary of the Revolution of1911in China. Based on today’s political civilization achievements, recalling the time of100years ago, there are many issues worth of thinking. In the field of Chinese political development, which is the political legacy of the Revolution of1911in China, the politics grows from the traditional to the modern in100years and make Chinese political modernity basically established and continued to mature. It is no doubt that it’s very meaningful and valuable for us to evaluate history and look forward to the future when we review the major historical event with a perspective of political modernity viewing angle.The first chapter is focus on defining the concept of modernization, modernity, political modernization and political modernity thus making the theory of political modernity clear. The second chapter demonstrates that traditional political forms transfer to modern political formation is the inevitable trend of the evolution of human political civilization. The revolution of1911was a starting point of chinese modern political forms and it resulted from fundamental changes in the early chinese political formation. In the third chapter, the paper expounded that the revolution solved the main problems in modern chinese political ideological construction process through five aspects including political system, political organization, political ideology, political process and political participation level. The fourth chapter elaborated the problem that the revolution failed to solve, including that the regime’s legitimacy construction has not completed, the political system of the Democratic Republic has not stabilize; the modern sense of the political parties has not played its due role in the political activities, parties politics has not became institutionalized; political participation lack of extensive, it is mainly characterized of elite to participate in and public apathy about politics. Political decision-making lack of scientificity and failed to timely launch the masses to make the revolutionary armed and failed to carry out the agrarian revolution. The fifth chapter is a remaining discussion which mainly elaborates experience and lessons the Revolution of1911in China inspire the current political civilization construction in today’s China.
