This is a translation project report for the Short Report of Study Tours in Mexico and Chileby the Chinese State Council’s Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation (LGOP) and GIZ, China. Itconsists of four chapters:1) Project Components, consisting of the background of the project,objectives of the project, significance of the project, and layout of the report.2) Introduction to thebackground of The Source Text, consisting of introduction to the original text, the generalinformation of ST, the contents of ST and the features of the language used.3) TranslationDifficulties and Methodologies, including translation difficulties, translation preparations, timearrangement, translation methodologies, and the examples that can explain the translation methodsused in the process of translating.4) Conclusion, including the experiences from the project,lessons from the project and the prospects for further study. The attempt of the preliminaryexploration into the non-literary translation and parallel text is aimed at providing some referencefor the similar practice.
