Research On China’s Orchestra’s Development

The six stages into which we can divide the Chinese orchestra’s one hundred years development are the Brewing Stage, the Beginning Stage, the Growing Stage, the Developing Stage, the Tragic Stage, and the Diversity Stage. Surprisingly, the symphony music surprisingly occupied the mainstream position of China’s music after these six stages. For this, in addition to the comparison about the musical culture and forms between east and west, the understanding about the development of China’s orchestra is very necessary. Clarifying the development of China’s orchestra is not only beneficial to researchers for judging today’s achievements and the problems, but also for proposing reasonable suggestions on the development and construction of the orchestra.
