As a difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese aspect markers cause great trouble to the Japanese learners of Chinese. Based on the Chinese-Japanese bilingual data, this thesis makes a relatively detailed comparison between the expressions of aspects in the two languages and traces the causes of all the errors of aspect markers by Japanese learners of Chinese. A test designed based on the error analysis was done to check the Japanese learners’acquisition of those Chinese aspect markers. Then suggestions were given on the teaching of Chinese aspect markers to Japanese learners.This thesis is made up of seven chapters:Introduction, Aspect markers in Chinese, The expression of aspects in Japanese, Contrast of Chinese and Japanese, The error analysis of Chinese aspect markers, Summary and suggestions, Conclusion.
