Vocabulary learning is the most basic and most important part in foreign language learning. To help the students remember all the words effectively, this paper, based on task-based teaching theories, puts forward task-based vocabulary teaching strategy to explore into how to teach Chinese vocabulary more effectively. In the paper, the author has proposed six kinds of task-based vocabulary teaching designs. These designs are aimed to improve the efficiency of the Chinese language students’ learning process, to accomplish their learning tasks. Students can experience the real language situation and develop their independence and innovation.
