Social anxiety was an emotional state that children often experienced and it wasone of multiple psychological and behavioral problems in children. Higher elementaryschool students were immature in psychology and physiology and didn’t establishedgood interpersonal relationships, so that subjective quality of life was affected. Thedomestic scholars suggested that children’s social anxiety was affected by social status,self-awareness, loneliness, urban - rural divide, cultural level of parents, etc. At homeand abroad, researches of children’s social anxiety in higher elementary schoolstudents of city were less, so it was very important to master children’s social anxietylever、gender differences and regional differences.In recent years, emotion and cognition were included in the analysis ofSubjective life quality. Emotion was one experience of individual feeling in real life,at the same time, cognition was an objective evaluation of real life according topersonal unique standard. Research of subjective life quality provided a new approachin exploring mechanism of psychological barriers and taking precaution. Adult lifequality problems were concerned generally by psychology researchers, and reports onchildren’s subjective life quality were less. The domestic scholars suggested thatchildren’s subjective quality of life was affected by learning achievement, familyrelationship, parental rearing patterns, etc.In this study, higher elementary school students in Shandong province weretreated as object, Social anxiety status was analyzed. The relationship is analyzedbetween social anxiety and subjective life quality. Cognition level influencing anxietysymptom was discussed especially. These provided references for launching directpsychological health education.This paper mainly used methods of questionnaire and documentation. Based onlots of documents at home and abroad, adopted Social anxiety scale for children and subjective life quality questionnaire, analyzed Social anxiety status and therelationship between social anxiety and subjective life quality in 596 students of oneexperimental primary school in Shandong province.Results of this study were as follows:(1) Social anxiety level of higher elementary school student is higher thanChinese norms and the difference is not significant.(2) There was no significant difference in social anxiety level of different gradesand different sources students.(3) There was no significant difference in subjective life quality of differentgrades, different sources and different gender students.(4) Between children’s social anxiety and the subjective life quality there is asignificant negative correlation. There was mainly affected by family life, peerinteraction, living environment, self-awareness and other cognition level.
