| Under the background of more frequent exchanges in economy and culture in theworld, China is witnessing an active exchange with the rest of the world, which cannotbe without the spread of information. As a major means for the spread of information,news is indispensable for China to exchange with other countries in politics, economyand culture. News translation has attracted public attention for its way to provide worldnews.News texts have unique stylistic features different from other texts, so does newstranslation. This report firstly analyzes the stylistic features of news English from aspectsof lexicology, syntax and text, then introduces the translation process includingpreparation, time management and revision, and lastly summarizes some strategies fortranslation of news titles, terms and long sentences by means of a great number ofexamples.
