Overseas plays not only become more and more popular with domestic audience but also provide new creative ideas for domestic play production. By imitating the type or plo t of overseas plays, many domestic plays are equipped with new blood. Relying on the ch arming and influence of the original series of overseas plays, they take great advantage in propaganda. At the same time, they make full use of the essence of the original series an d try to show the audience a good play with more fresh and diverse elements. But the pub lic reputation to the remaking works is different. This paper takes the phenomenon of Chi na’s remaking plays from overseas plays as research objective and uses the methods of do cumentary research, interdisciplinary research and case study to systematically describe t he development course and existing state of the overseas remaking plays in China. This p aper also explores reasons why the overseas remaking plays are popular and analyzes the existing problems existing in overseas remaking plays in China. Finally, this paper propos es the differences between high-context culture and low-context culture existing in remak ing plays and analyzes the communication and integration among the remaking plays of cross-cultural context to further analyze that our overseas remaking plays should pay atte ntion to ways and methods to better remake overseas plays.
