Study On Compairng Characters Recognition In Chinese And English Reading Based On Eye Movement Skill

By eye tracking technology research tool, this study not only can verify existing in Englishrecognition theory, but it can explain differences in reading and predict reading in Englishstudy. Therefore,three experimental studies in accordance with the word recognition purposesstart with a single text recognition.Using eye tracking technology as a more accurate means ofEnglish aquair the authenticity of the measurements in recognition. By comparing the time thereaders spend identifing Chinese characters in according to their own literacy control,designing to investigate and compare the shape in character recognition and the impact ofdifferences, comparing Chinese recognition features with English recognition features, thethesis quests cognitive characteristics of Chinese characters from comparative philology angle,providing validate and complement for the previous research. In this thesis we used differenttasks.Word judgment foucing on text symbols,rotating words recognition fousing on relationsbetween language sign and linguistic units, and semantic class judgment emphasizing the waythe characters recorded language.
