Research On The Popular Forms Of Chinese Characters In The Memoirs Of Eminent Monks Of Zhao Cheng Jin Scriptures Edition

The Memoirs of Eminent Monks is one of the Buddhist classics. There are a large number of the popular forms of characters in the Memoirs of Eminent Monks of Zhao Cheng Jin scriptures edition. These characters can reflect the fact of general fonts in that society. Therefore, we can see the words situation in that period from these researches.We make an analysis on these characters by data statistics and contrast studies. We try to find the types and features of the popular forms of Chinese characters in this book. This thesis is composed of four sections:The first section is a presentation about the research situation of the Memoirs of Eminent Monks and the popular forms of Chinese characters.The second section introduces two types of the popular forms of Chinese characters in this book. We call them writing different characters and structuring different characters. We divide them into several small types and perform to analyze.The last section is a conclusion that sums up the gain and loss of this thesis.
