Followed by China’s rapid emergence, More people in the world become particularly enthusiastic and curious about China and Chinese culture. As a wonderful shortcut to understand Chinese culture, learning Chinese language boom rapidly throughout the world. Miami is the southernmost city in the United States and the Confucius Institute at the Miami Dade College is the only Confucius Institute in South Florida, where the size and the quality of Chinese language education is exceptional. In the U.S, Miami Dade College is the largest community college in the country with extended cultural diversity on campus. Therefore, it has provided perfect atmosphere for learning Foreign language such as Chinese.After a nine-month internship at the Confucius Institute of Miami Dade College, the author created a survey questionnaire in an attempt to generate feedbacks from students based on the observations and practices in teaching situation. For Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, students’ feedbacks are extremely important. Through the process of teaching, to utilize acceptable and favorable studying materials and teaching methods would definitely help maintaining students’passion and curiosity, and it would also largely improve the efficiency of learning. The United States has its own educational philosophy and culture, so, the studying materials and teaching philosophy we presented might not be a good fit for American students. To determine whether our teaching methods are effective and appropriate, the best way and the only way is to detect student’s own feelings and opinions. Students’ feedbacks are able to clearly and directly reflect the current situation and problems of our teaching efforts.The purpose of this article is to utilize the survey results to conducted an in-depth analysis on existing issues in different aspects of teaching such as current textbook, curriculum, faculty quality, classroom teaching methods, homework arrangement and educational culture. In the meantime, through analysis, the author will further disclose what we are the defects of the current teaching system implemented in the United States. In the end, the author also provide suggestions about how to improve the quality of teaching and the influence of Chinese language in the United States.
