Research On Minority’s Intangible Cultural Heritages Protection And Development

Intangible cultural heritage is the crystallization of our ancestors’ wisdom and it also inherits and continues our national spirit. It has great significance for the exploration of the approaches to the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage and the protection of the cultural diversity to study how to protect intangible cultural heritage resources better and develop them rationally on the basis of their protection. In this paper, the basic theory of intangible cultural heritage was elaborated and characteristics and value of intangible cultural heritage were analyzed and the principles, measures and models of its protection and development were studied from the angle of academic comprehension. Fenghuang County in West Hunan was taken as an example to study the basic situation of the protection and development of the intangible cultural heritage in Fenghuang County, evaluate the value of the intangible cultural heritage resources of Fenghuang County, analyze the problems in the protection and development and propose concrete measures to achieve protection-oriented development.Fenghuang County in West Hunan is located in the area inhabited by ethnic minorities with rich intangible cultural heritage recourses and distinctive ethnic characteristics. In this paper, based on the research theories both at home and abroad and field research, the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Fenghuang County was analyzed in the method of quantitative analysis in combination with the questionnaires answered by experts, tourists and local inhabitants. From the reality of Fenghuang County, three factors including heritage resource value, tourism development condition, and resource endowment were chosen to construct the assessment system of the development potential of intangible cultural heritage in Fenghuang County. Twenty-seven indicators on the factor assessment layer were chosen to assess the tourism development potential and the analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of the assessment factors finally. Through the analysis, it was found that the intangible cultural heritage in Fenghuang County has high development potential with clear urban tourism image orientation. There are problems such as the insufficient excavation of culture connotation in the development of intangible cultural heritage in Fenghuang County, imperfect supporting facilities for the tourism development and small-scale culture industry. The model and concrete measures to protect and develop the intangible cultural heritage were studied. The pristine model, comprehensive model and cultural crystallization model were proposed as the major development models. It was proposed that the awareness should be established that protection should be the priority, the conservation area should be established, the protection of intangible cultural heritage and the development of tourism should be integrated, the construction of the tourism infrastructure should be consolidated and featured cultural and tourism products should be developed.
