In recent years, with the continuous enhancement and improvement of China’s economic power and international status, the number of Chinese learners is increasing constantly. As a result, the educational enterprise of "teaching Chinese as a foreign language" is booming at the same time. Teaching materials play an important part in the teaching activities of "teaching Chinese as a foreign language", so the compilation of teaching materials is being paid more and more attention from relevant scholars and departments.The Republic of Korea is a big country in the aspect of Chinese learning. In recent years, Chinese learning group of children is developing rapidly. For this reason, the market of Chinese teaching materials for children shows a prosperous scene. However, due to different compilers, the quality of teaching materials is uneven. In order to help Korean teachers and children to choose more suitable teaching materials and promote the development of more pertinent Chinese teaching materials for Korean children in our country, this thesis takes Chinese teaching materials for Korean children compiled respectively by Chinese compiler and Korean compiler as the investigative objects, and then makes a comparative analysis.The thesis is divided into five chapters; the specific content is summarized as follows:Chapter one briefly introduces the object of the research, research methods, the significance of the research, and the present situation of Chinese teaching to Korean children.Chapter two reviews the compiling concept of second-language teaching materials as well as the present research situation of compiling the teaching materials of Chinese for foreigners in our country and Korea.Chapter three elaborates on the characteristics of children’s second language acquisition, the theoretical basis of the compilation of second-language teaching materials, and discusses the compiling principles of teaching materials by illustrating the compiling principles of general foreign language teaching materials, teaching materials of TCSL and Chinese teaching materials for children. Besides, the thesis introduces the present situation of compiling the Chinese teaching materials for Korean children.Chapter four shows the detailed comparative analysis between "Haobang Children Chinese" and "Ai Children Chinese", and points out the similarities and differences of the teaching materials. The comparative analysis includes:the basic information of the teaching materials, the comparison of teaching methods applied by the teaching materials, the comparison of structure, content, language knowledge, classroom activities, exercises and supporting resources.Chapter five is the concluding part. This part summarizes and analyzes the comparison results, and puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of Chinese teaching materials for Korean children.
