The grammar is one of indispensable elements in learning Chinese. Because the grammar is inherent basic rules of the language. After learning the correct grammar can communicate with others and can improve the level of Chinese. So many scholars suggested a variety of the teaching methods of grammar. But the actual grammar teaching is mostly passive lecture, and there are not many activities of classroom that students participate in leadership. Many foreign students have mastered a lot of Chinese grammar, but because of the lack of effective practice, the knowledge of Chinese grammar that was learned cannot be use correctly in the actual communication.I believe that through the game as teaching can solve this problem. If you practice grammar through games, you can stimulate motivation of students and can improve student’s enthusiasm for study, also can escape the boredom of repetition comes from practice. When students actively participate in activities of classroom, we can enhance learning efficiency. When students play game, they can learn grammar rules in pleasant atmosphere of classroom, the students also can unconsciously learn Chinese grammar, and finally can improve their language and communication skills.This thesis is divided into four chapters, using different research methods like literature research, case analysis, comparative method, I made researches in the game for Chinese grammar teaching. Chapter I was written contents of the significance of the topic and researches related to this thesis. Chapter II was written about game teaching the basic theory including the definition of the game in teaching, Features of the game in teaching, The effect of the game in teaching and principles of game design, Precaution of the game in teaching. Chapter III was written about games types of grammar teaching and analysis of examples of game. In chapter IV, I design the new game for Chinese grammar teaching. The last chapter is the conclusion.The game that was designed in this thesis is for teaching specific syntactic patterns of Chinese. I hope that this games actually can be used in classroom. I also hope through this thesis can provide standard form and can explore an effective game of grammar teaching.
