Game teaching ideas have existed for a long time. Combined with the teaching reality, we can carry forward and further develop the spirit of this idea by deep study and practice, which would be great helpfui to education and teaching."Game teaching" has been proved by related theories, and we believe that game teaching approach has certain popularization value in teaching Chinese to foreign students. Currently, any teaching approach is not easy to be widely practiced from ideas, and so is game teaching approach. In the field of teaching Chinese as a second language, game teaching ideas and means still have space for deep research. Therefore, this paper attempted to design games for grammars in the teaching material——A New Perspective:Context, Function and Structure in Teaching Chinese. By classifying the games which might be used in the teaching, this paper tried to be helpful to Chinese classroom teaching.The paper started with the introduction of development of game teaching ideas, and showed the research methods. Then, the author introduced the characteristics of game teaching approach of Chinese as a second language. By demonstrating the data provided by questionnaire; the author analyzed the attitude and the advantages of game teaching; the circumstance in which the game can be used. In the class, teachers should obey the principles of object-oriented analysis, center around aim, with the aid of "task"; and apply the strategy of appropriate process control, keep a stimulus and summarization after game. In the most important part, the games has been classified into cooperate games and competitive games, including exchange of views, decision-making, problem-solving, individual competition, group competition games and so on. Apart form the division of types of games, this paper compared the differences of traditional teaching approach and game method. The comparison is developed from teaching stages and features. At last, the author concluded that there is no almighty instructional method, and so is game teaching approach. We could only use it as supplementary means for traditional approach. The teaching of Chinese should adopt the advanced ideas of every instructional method; introduce the method of "game" when it is appropriate. And by making use of the interesting, interactive, purpose and stimulation mechanism of games, we can realize the best teaching effects.
