The author is concerning on how to make the students interested in learning Chinese, as Philippine is a tropical country and students here are lively and active. Compared with traditional teaching method, Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) has got widespread attention due to its emphasis of " learning by doing". The author is going to have a try to introduce TBLT into the class of the elementary spoken Chinese.This thesis firstly discusses about the reasons and significances for the research, and has a brief review of the current researching situation about the Spoken Chinese in the area of Teaching Chinese As a Second Language (TCSL) as well as the application situation of TBLT in the teaching area. It also introduces the relevant concepts and research methods about the TBLT. Secondly, it analyzes the data and result getting from the pre-questionnaire and pre-oral test, gives advices on the processing of experiment and TBLT. Moreover, this thesis gives detailed explanation about the application of TBLT in the real oral language teaching, by using an oral language teaching case to introduce how TBLT has effect on the teaching through pre-task, in-task, post-task and evaluation of the task. Also it makes comparison between the experimental class and normal class by analyzing the data collected from the post-questionnaire and post-oral test to introduce the feedback of implement of TBLT. Finally, through analyzing and summing up the problems have got from the implement of TBLT, the author gives her advices on how to apply TBLT better on the future TCSL teaching.
