The Study On Art Therapy Intervention For Children’s Aggressive Behavior

Art therapy, as a modern therapy so far, is a combinationof art, psychology, and medical. The so-called "art therapy"refers to the professional art therapist guidance, a combinationof artistic and psychology, consultation and guidance which aimsto remove the psychology puzzle. It produces a uniquepsychological and physiological effect, mainly through music,film, television, painting, psychological drama (role-playing),sculpture, box court therapy and other art forms. These formsall aim to reveal the individual’s unrealized deep heartactivity, and then let the research object through all sorts ofspecial treatment of art to show emotion, release the pressure,and purify the mind, arouse energy, improve behavior, nourishthe personality and adjusting the unbalanced mental function.After more than100years’ development, art therapy has becomean important force in the field of modern psychologicaltreatment. It has comparatively mature theoretical andpractical results. Its fundamental goal is to balance the needof human body and mind."Aggression" in psychology is defined as a regulardeliberately provocative which may hurt others. Shy, anger,retaliation might leads to children’s offensive attack. Somestudies show that the childhood and adolescence aggression ofa man is the significant incentives and prediction of his/heradulthood "antisocial personality disorder". Some of theaggressive behavior during childhood has more psychological damage than physical damage, which can make children produceanxiety and tension, depression and other bad mood disorders,even form bad personality and abnormal psychology."Aggression"has great harm on children’s physical and mental health andsocial development. Based on this, this study chooses asix-year-old boy who is aggressive as the research object. Byusing art therapy, we study to explore some practical strategiesin art therapy for children aggressive behavior, and try toprovide a feasible effective treatment, which can let childrencatharsis negative emotions, improve aggression for physicaland mental harmony.This thesis mainly includes four parts. The first partmainly expounds the related theory of art therapy, including theconcepts, development, features and psychological mechanism ofart therapy. The second part mainly introduces the concept,behavior, form, types and related basic theory of childrenaggressive. It also analyzes the feasibility of art therapy forchildren aggressive intervention. The third part studies theintervention of children aggressive, expounds the researchtarget, basic process and result. The fourth part analyzes themechanism and advantages of aggressive intervention therapy,rethinks our research, discusses the application value of arttherapy.
