Time perspective is one of the time personality, and is a relativelystable individual of the past、 now and the future which containsemotional time perspective and cognitive time perspective. Timeperspective have a close relationship with the development of thepersonal life, Whether can you sum up your past experience and lessoneffectively, seize the opportunity now,set and realize the individual goalsor targets is the performance of Time perspective.In this study, drawing-circle acted as projection test and timeexperience questionnaire made by ourselves were used to discover theemotion time perspective and cognitive time perspective characteristics ofthe college students. The study included three tests: firstly100studentswere tested in order to prepare the dimension of the emotion timeperspective questionnaire; secondly data collected from500students, onehalf was used to make explorative factor analysis, and another was usedto make confirmatory factor analysis; thirdly data gathered from700students were used to analysis the characteristics of the college students’time perspective, and probe into the relationship among time perspective,the big five personality and achievement goal.The study reaches conclusions as follows:(1) The college students’ emotion time perspective contains escape fromthe past, struggle now, hope for the future and planning the future.(2) In the emotion time perspective, gender, grade and Professional difference was not significant in the dimensions of escape from thepast, but students’ nationalities was significantly different; gender,grade, Professional difference, and students’ nationalities was notsignificant in the dimensions of struggle for now; gender andProfessional difference was not significant in the dimensions of hopefor the future, but grade, students’ nationalities was significantlydifferent; gender, grade and professional difference was not significantin the dimensions of planning from the future, but students’nationalities was significantly different;(3) There were no significant differences in gender, grade, professional,and students’ nationalities among the time dominate and the timeorientation; There were no significant differences in gender, grade ofthe time relevance, but professional and students’ nationalities wassignificantly different;(4) The time perspective, big personality and the achievement goal allcorrelate each other significantly;(5) The time perspective is not only the mediated variables between theextraversion and result approaching, but also the mediated variablesbetween the open, agreeableness, extraversion and the masterapproaching.
