During the period of junior high school, individual develops rapidly in all aspects.at this stage of adolescence, their bodies have dramatic changes, at the same time theircharacter traits, intellegence matured gradually, self-consciousness has a strongchange. Copying styles for junior high school students in response to externalstimulation, not only related to the mental health of students, and also on theiradaptation to life in the future. Coping style of junior high school students in differentenvironment has its own unique characteristics. Parent-child communication in thefamily environment as an important aspect, will inevitably have an impact on copingstyles of junior high school students. Research has shown that different levels ofself-consciousness of the individuals will also affect its stress events do differentreactions. Study on coping style of middle school students and its influencing factors,contribute to the promotion of junior high school students adopt positive and effectivecoping, also have a very important role to social adjustment and mental health ofjunior high school students.The study’s purpose is to analyse the influence of the junior middle schoolstudents’ Coping styles, and the relationship among the Parent-childcommunication, Self-consciousness and Coping style. This test selected602validsamples of students in Lanhua one and Lanzhou six junior high school. In summary,the main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) On the parent-child communication, there exists significant differencebetween family structures. In the open communication dimensions, intact familiescommunication are significantly better than the divorced and remarried families.(2) On the Self-consciousness, there exists significant difference betweenschools and whether the only-child the junior high school students is. theSelf-consciousness of the only-child is significantly higher than non-only child, theSelf-consciousness of the key school students is higher than the ordinary school’s.(3) On the Coping Styles, there exists significant difference between grades andfamily structure. In the dimensions of problem-coping and reasonable explanation, thestudents more tend to adopt the two coping style than grade one and grade three ones, showed more positive coping. In the dimensions of emotion-coping、escape andfantasy denied, the students in grade three more choose these copying style than gradeone’s, showed more negative coping.(4) Self-consciousness pays a full medium role between parent-childcommunication and problem-coping. The indirect effect of parent-childcommunication through Self-consciousness to problem-coping is slighter than thedirect on the problem-coping style.
