Psychological Resilience Of Junior Middle School Students In Divorced Single-parent Families And Its Relationship

With the development of economy and society, divorce rate has been increased. So more and more teen-agers began to live with their single-parent. Especially the negative impact of family structure's broken influence on young people had been received more social and psychological researchers and scholars concerned. While With the rise of the positive psychology in the study of contemporary Psychology, research on resilience became one of the most eye-catching areas when its concept and theory had been made out.So, based on the analyzation of the previous researches,open questionnaire, and qualitative interview, a resilience questionnaire for the divorced single-parent family junior middle school students had been created and about 240 divorce single-parent family junior middle school students had been investigated. Concrete results of study are as follow:(1) Resilience had been divided into two parts,which is the intrinsic factor and the society supports .While the intrinsic factor contains 4 dimensions: Self-control, sense of responsibility, self-efficiency, expectation; the society supports contains 3dimens- ions: family's support, friend's support, teacher's support.(2) Resilience of the divorce single-parent family junior middle school students were at the middle level but a little higher. Expectation' score was highest,self-control, sense of responsibility, self-efficiency were at the middle level, family's support and friend's support, teacher's support got the lowest score among the dimensions,(3) On gender and grade group Variable were significantly different. Concrete: boys were significantly higher than girls in the self-efficacy and teacher' support dimension, while in other dimensions was not significant. The higer grade the higer score among the dimesion,and grade three were more significant than grade one and grad two.(4) The divorced single-parent family junior middle school students' resilience had been impacted by parent's divorced time, rearing, parent's educational level and other factors. (5) The dimensions of positive coping strategy had played a significant positviely related to resilience and achievement; Positive coping strategy and resilience positvie- ly forecast achievement; resilience played a mediating effect between positive coping strategy and achievement.
