In recent years, as psychological researches become hot spot, there are increased awareness between the relationship of students’ self-consciousness and parenting style. However, research shows that cross-cultural study of the relationship between self-consciousness and parenting style is very rare. The researcher, therefore, wants to compare similarities and differences between the relationship of students’ level of self-awareness and parenting style among Mongolian and Chinese junior middle school students. It also explores the impact of culture on children’s self-awareness and parenting style based on a comparative analysis of700Mongolian and600Chinese junior middle school students. The research reveals that there is a lot of similarities and differences in the characteristics and relationship of the two groups of students’ self-consciousness and parenting style. It can be concluded that:1) There are differences between China and Mongolia junior middle school students’ level of self-awareness. Mongolian student’s self-awareness point higher than China student. There are striking gender differences between junior middle school students in the two countries of study, and at the same time a sharp gender differences within a particular country.2) There are also differences and similarities in the intensity of parenting styles in term of punishment and rejection among Chinese and Mongolian junior middle schools students. There are also striking gender differences between junior middle school students in the two countries of study, and also a sharp gender differences within a particular country.3) There are two dimensions of parenting styles and creation of "self-consciousness" among Mongolian junior middle school students. There is positive correlation between parents with sound parental style and the ability to influence their children to have positive self-consciousness; where the children enjoy father’s emotional warmth, understanding and overprotection. Parents with negative parenting style usually result in negative influence in the ability of their children to develop self-consciousness.4) The research reveals that the Chinese parenting style have negative correlation between their junior middle school students and their self-consciousness. In China the fathers usually show rejection whereas the mothers parenting styles tend towards emotional warmth, understanding, excessive interference and overprotection.
