The Thai Students’Acquisition Of Three Kinds Of Word Order Variable Chinese Adverbial

Based on the method of cross-sectional studies, the paper makes a comprehensive and quantitative study on the Thai students’ acquisition of three kinds of word order variable Chinese adverbial. We examined101Thai students from three different levels. Based on the data collection and analysis, we get the acquisition order and the word order tendency of the three kinds of Chinese adverbial. Besides, we made an analysis of language errors, in order to get the knowledge of the influence of first language transfer. Then we made an analysis of the textbook. The analysis focus on the grammar points setting order, the related adverbial word order and the repetition rate. We try to find out their influence on Thai students’acquisition of the three kinds of Chinese adverbial. According our study, there is an acquisition order:①dverbial of time(2)Adverbial of place③Adverbial of cause.Besides, there is a tendence of word order after the acquisition of the three kinds of adverbial:the general tendences of adverbial of time and adverbial of place are both of before the subject; the general tendence of adverbial of cause is after the subject. The Thai students from the different levels have the different acquisition characteristics. Meanwhile, the same level students’ acquisition characteristics are also varied. Besides, the first language transfer, the grammer setting order in the textbook and repetition rate of the related adverbial all have an influence on the adverbial acquisition.
