The Cultural Image Generation Of Tao Yuanming Before Song Dynasty

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty,great writer Tao Yuanming won the pursues by scholars inhis own unique way. His life, works, personality and thinking have been more in-depth,comprehensively studied by previous. But looking at these studies, we can find that interms of his cultural image, especially before Song Dynasty, there was no systerm,specifical books. Because of this situation, this article will explain the cultural imagegeneration of Tao Yuanming before Song Dynasty from the following aspects.First chapter will briefly describe the cultural image symbol of Tao Yuanming.Familyenvironment made TaoYuanming influenced by great-grandfather Tao Kan’s positivespirit and maternal grandfather Meng Jia’s natural thinking,Dominated with Confucianismand Taoism, variety of ideas gathered in Tao Yuanming at the same time,at last influencedhis creation and official implicit selection, and finally formed the position of his culturalimage in the literary history. Second chapter will mainly study the primitive of TaoYuanming’s cultural image. This paper attempts to analyze the building process of TaoYuanming’s cultural image by constrasting Tao’s true image and cultural image.So thispart tries to restore the true image of Tao Yuanming through studying the materials,socialculture and his work to form the similarities and differences comparision with thefollowing part. Third chapter will mainly discuss the step by step formation of TaoYuanming’s cultural image. This chapter analyzes the step by step formation process ofTao Yuanming’s cultural image from two section. By this analyzing, we can find thechanges of Tao Yuanming’s cultural image with the changing times,and finally find theproblem of Tao Yuanming’s cultural image before Song Dynasty. Fourth chapter is theconclusion of this paper. In this part,I will make a conclusion of Tao Yuanming’s culturalimage and the influence of this image on later literary, and then discuss how the latergenerations explained this image and at last successfully pushed Tao into literary altar.
