Quanzhou City, located in the southeast coast of China, is one of the historical andcultural city. In the development of history, there had already been believers in Buddhism,Taoism, Catholic, Islamism, Manicheism. These religious faiths had spread to Quanzhou City,Coexistence of different religions and interacting with each other, and gradually formed tospecially have the special religious culture that it having diversity, folk and extrovert spreadcharacteristicses. Therefore, Quanzhou is called as the name as "religious museum in theworld". In the process of transmission of these religions, not only for the Quanzhou social life,culture, arts, customs and habits have far-reaching effects, but also preserve a large number ofQuanzhou cultural relics.Quanzhou City is also called as the name as the “buddhist of Quannan”. The KaiyuanTemple of Quanzhou was listed as the sky cultural relic protection units by the state council inFebruary,1982.The Kaiyuan Temple of Quanzhou is an important representative of Buddhismculture in Quanzhou city, and it has an important diachronic value and the cultural value.The article is divided into seven parts.An introduction is mainly described the significance of topics and gaved a briefing onthe subject of Chinese Buddhism and the research of Kaiyuan Temple of Quanzhou.The first, this paper described briefly of the Chinese Buddhism of the incoming and theevolution course, and the Buddhism on the impact of China, from the Han dynasty to theTang dynasty.The second, this paper described briefly of Buddhism in Quanzhou, and the introductionof the evolution course, as well as the existing of the distribution of the Buddhism temples inQuanzhou.The third, this paper described briefly the general situation of Chinese traditionalarchitecture and the evolution of Chinese Buddhism architectural.The fourth, This paper mainly discusses the main architecture of the Kaiyuan Temple ofQuanzhou.
