| The paper is a research report on translation of long sentences in United Nations documents.The author worked on a lot of United Nations documents while interning at the TranslationDepartment of Shanghai International Studies University. During this internship, the author foundthat the translation skills of long English sentences are playing an important part in United Nationstranslation, because there are many long sentences in United Nations documents.
