Objective:Based on predecessors’ validity of treating on communication anxiety using Meta-cognition Intervention Technique, this thesis will further verify its efficacy and have an in-depth discussion whether the procedural knowledge by using Meta-cognition Intervention Technique has an influence on the course of treatment, the therapeutic effect and the inner experience of the lients.Method:10Communication Anxiety clients were randomly allocated to the experimental group (procedural knowledge group) and the control group (no procedural knowledge group) in chronological order who came to Liaoning Normal University psychological consultation center for help and met criteria of the research from2009.11.6to2010.8.14. Both groups were arranged in5clients. It takes the scores of Personal Report of Confidence Anexity (PRCA),Personal Report of Confidence as a Speaker (PRCS) and Symptom Checklist90(SCL-90) for the standard of the curing. On the other hand, it uses the self-made Subjective Satisfaction Level Scale (SSLS)to record the the results of SSLS as indicators of multiple baseline experimental design.Results:All the clients’scores of PRCA,PRCS and SCL-90are much lower than the demarcation after the intervention; The experimental group clients’ scores of PRCA,PRCS and Sensitive interpersonal relationship factor, anxiety factor, terrorist factor of SCL-90in the post-treatment and tracing period are all below division criteria. The degree of satisfaction in communication conditionrises up rapidly after intervention. The clients’ communication anxiety symptoms in Group B were decreased to a significant level after the second intervention. The scores of clients in Group A continue to decline and become relatively stable in the review period, and finaly turn back to normal levels. The scores of clients in Group B also begin to decline and finaly reduced to the last standard.Conclusion:In the nine-month follow up, all the clients had no communication anxiety symptoms. The Meta-cognition Intervention Technique has an obvious, promising and enduring effect on the treatment of communication anxiety. The procedural knowledge of The Meta-cognition Intervention Technique has played a positive role in communication anxiety.
