Objective: Based on the researches done by others, this research sets up a hypothesiswhich could be applied into clinical psychology in order to cover the insufficiencies of thestudies of this area and. This research takes the approach of Meta-cognition InterventionTechnique to focus on speech anxiety and with the scientific experiments it scratches theeffect on the treatment period, the outcomes of the treatments and the outcomes after beingcured caused by the training tasks of Meta-cognition Intervention Technique, then explainsthat the emotional advance organizer plays an important role in treating social phobia andarouses study on the training tasks about types, quantity and strength. Furthermore it enhancesthis technique’s treatment effect.Method: This research takes the scores of Personal Report of Confidence as a Speaker(PRCS) and Symptom Checklist90(SCL-90) for the standard of the curing. On the otherhand, it uses the self-made Subjective Satisfaction Level Scale (SSLS) to record the results ofSSLS as indicators of multiple baseline experimental design. And it tests the difference inscores of SSLS between the two groups by the W-test of SPSS software.Results: All the clients’ scores of PRCS and SCL-90are much lower than thedemarcation after the intervention. The experimental group clients’ scores of PRCS and theanxiety factor of SCL-90in the post-treatment and tracing period are all below divisioncriteria. The degree of satisfaction in speech is up rapidly after intervention. The clients’speech anxiety symptoms in control group are decreased to a significant level after the secondintervention. The scores of clients in experimental group continue to decline and becomerelatively stable in the review period, and finally turn back to normal levels. The scores ofclients in control group also begin to decline and finally reduced to the last standard.Conclusion: In the three-month follow up, all the clients have no speech anxietysymptoms. The Meta-cognition Intervention Technique has an obvious promising andenduring effect on the treatment of speech anxiety. The emotional advance organizer of TheMeta-cognition Intervention Technique has played a positive role in treating speech anxiety.
