Nowadays,with the china’s position becomes higher and higher,the whole worldare learning Chinese, so how on earth to learn authentic Chinese? It is a still difficultproblem Based on Chinese pronunciation,semantics and Chinese grammars, thelearners can really understand Chinese culture by learning.Chinese idioms as one of the representatives of Chinese folk culture,which playimportant role in teaching Chinese to foreigners as a second language.But because ofits complication,the English native learners make a lot of mistakes when they areusing it.It is one of difficulties.The author found that the English native learners would rather use the longwords rather than the brief idioms and even avoid using them. On the other hand, the"Chinese idioms "is vivid,imagined and humorous,which makes some learners liketo use it, but they make some mistakes.Based on above two cases, the paperresearches the errors the learners make concludes the types of the errors, finds thereasons and proposes some resolutions.This paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter the introduction introduces the selected topic significance, theresearch scope of this article, research methods and related research review.The second chapter is the meaning of idioms and features, on the basis ofpredecessors’ research, summarized the meaning of Chinese idioms, phonetic,semantic, grammatical and pragmatic characteristics. And compare the English andChinese language find out the similarities and differences between them.The third chapter according to the corpus collected by the questionnaire survey,use the second language acquisition theory to analysis, inductive students’ acquisitionof Chinese idioms are native speakers of English as a type of bias.The fourth chapter from the subjective and objective two aspects to explore forstudents English is their mother tongue acquisition errors the cause of the Chineseidioms. The fifth chapter is fundamental point in previous chapter for English speakersand the errors made by students’ acquisition of Chinese idioms teaching and learningstrategies are put forward.The sixth is the conclution.
