A Report On The Translation Of Appreciating The Landscape By Standing High

Nowadays, with the China’s increasing development and progress, themyth of The Goddess Chang’s fly to the moon has been realized. OnOctober15th,2003, Shen Zhou V, the first manned spaceship of China,has been launched into space successfully, and Chinese dream of flyinginto space has come true. However, China becomes the third countrylaunching manned spaceship into space around the whole world. With thecontinuous success and big progress made by China Aerospace, thetranslation on it is more and more necessary.This paper aims at translating the original and analyzing thetranslation by translation skills and guiding theory. The content of thetranslation is a speech manuscript named Appreciating the Landscape byStanding High, which is made by Yang Liwei, the first spaceman inChina. His writing style is vivid and natural, fluent and spontaneous, andhe not only describes story eloquently but also expresses his feelings andemotions specifically and passionately.There are four main chapters in the paper. Chapter one mainly givesa general introduction of the background and content of the translationand the information of the author, and then chapter two furthers to givethe process and time assignment of the translation. Chapter three analyzesspecifically the translation methods and skills and discusses thetranslation criteria and the difficulties during the process of translation. Conclusion of this paper is drawn in chapter four.
