The measure words is used frequently in our daily life and related closely withstudents, so it is regraded as an important part in TCSL. The measure words teachingtask is mainly in the stage of elementary and intermediate. However, during theChinese as a second language teaching of measure words, because of classlimitations、textbook constraint and teachers personal reasons, added difficulties inthe teaching of measure words. The complexity and abstraction of the measure wordswill also bring troubles to students in the stage of elementary and intermediate masterthe meaning and usage.As we know, the measure words is hard to learn and to teach.In order to solvethis problem,this article investigated the arrangement of measure words in thesyllabus and textbooks firstly, and find the difference between the syllabus andtextbooks,and point out the shortcomings of the textbooks.I observed a term of TCSLclass teaching measure words and I analysis the key steps of the measure wordsteaching and the teaching methods.In order to know more about the situation of thelearning of the measure words,the author did a survey on27students of elementaryand intermediate stage.I collected the errors form the questionnaire and analysis whythey make these errors.Above all,I give some advice to TCSL, and I hope that willpromote more effective at this stage of the measure words teaching.The paper is divided into four chapters: In the first chapter, I explains why Ichoose this topics and introduces the achievements of recent years study of TCSL inmeasure words; The second chapter is investigates the elementary and intermediatestage of teaching measure words in three aspects: learners, syllabus andtextbooks,class teaching.In chapter three,we did a survey of elementary andintermediate stage students, in order to know the ability of students classifiersdiscrimination and the grasp of a large amounts, an amount more than thephenomenon. And then, the author make a classification of students bias on the errors.In chapter four, the author based on the the measure words teaching situation andproblems in teaching of elementary and intermediate stage of the foreign language,the author proposes six recommendations. The last chapter is the conclusion of thearticle,it mainly to make a overall conclusion of the article, and point theshortcomings of the article.
