A Research On The Vocabulary Of TCSL Based On The Political News Corpus Of The Overseas Edition

The overseas edition of the People’s Daily, because of its authority, hugecirculation, more coverage and multinational reading groups, is different from thedomestic mainstream newspaper’s unique style, making it a valuable TCSL material.This article chooses its2009-2011political news as research object and sorts currentpolitics news corpus and builds an "original overseas edition politics news corpus"about1.8million words. According to classification, a second sorting, wordsegmentation and part of speech tagging program to the original corpus’3593articles,a2547essays’ corpus and570000words’"overseas edition politics news fu codecorpus" has been built. Counting the corpus word frequency statistics,18130vocabulary entries have been produced and there are350322word times of theoriginal word list. Then through artificial intervention and alteration, it contains14452vocabulary entries and278345gross word times, which is named “The OverseasEdition of Politics News Language Domain Word Frequency Table for ChineseInternational Education". With the analysis of words frequency, finally2804highfrequency words are chosen as the object of The Overseas Edition of Politics NewsLanguage Domain Word Frequency Table for Chinese International Education. As aresult, a high frequency vocabulary list is produced, which is arranged mainly by itsfrequency and the phonetic sequence is used as a supplement.“The Overseas Editionof Politics News Language Domain Word Frequency Table for Chinese InternationalEducation" has labels about word class and word frequency. At last we made acomparison between this table with “Vocabulary Classification for ChineseInternational Education” and draw the conclusion of the research in this paper, namely,“The Overseas Edition of Politics News Language Domain Word Frequency Table for Chinese International Education" will provide the necessary data to support TCSLChinese vocabulary teaching, especially newspapers vocabulary teaching. The corpusselection of "Overseas edition of politics news corpus" is valuable to the edition ofTCSL textbooks. The low percentage of the vocabulary table intersection should beincreased. Teaching material about current politics domain in TCSL should also beadded properly.
