By the development of the knowledge-based economy, scientific research is becoming more and more important. Researchers is the main persons in the universities, they play an important role in scientific research area and college development. At present, researchers accept more and more scientific research activities and tasks, too many tasks and pressure affect their occupational well-being. Social support is the care and help from members of the social network, it can provide material support, emotional communication and information guidance for individuals to help adjust work status and complete research tasks. Therefore, social support and occupational well-being become an important and meaningful issue to research.This article try to build a model of the relationships among social support, self-efficacy and occupational well-being. It uses SPSS18.0to operate the reliability and validity analysis, exploratory factor analysis, analysis of variance, correlation and regression analysis to test the model’s theoretical assumptions and discuss the empirical results.The conclusions of this artical include:(1)Social support will increase the occupational well-being, especially, colleague support and superior support will increase the professional well-being, colleague support, superior support and family support will increase the personnel well-being, superior support will increase the psychosomatic well-being, colleague support, superior support and friend support will increase the affective well-being, moreover, self-efficacy will play the mediating role between between friends support and occupational well-being or affective well-being, it will not play the mediating role between other dimensions of social support and other dimensions of occupational well-being.(2) The level of social support, self-efficacy and occupational well-being of the university researchers are between general and good. Among the dimensions of the social support, university researchers receive the friends support most, then followed by family support, colleagues support and Superior support. Among the dimensions of the occupational well-being, Interpersonal well-being gets the highest points, then followed by professional well-being, affective well-being and psychosomatic well-being.(3) The level of social support, self-efficacy and occupational well-being of university researchers are different in different demographic characteristics. Generally speaking, man is higher than women, undergraduate’s degree and doctor’s degree are higher than master’s degree, Engineering and Science are higher than Liberal arts, the higher the age, title and work life, the higher the social support and occupational well-being.
