Based on the British students as the object, analyze their learning Chinese timewords errors. British students often occur in three error areas of vocabulary, grammarand culture from the dominant perspective. From the lexical category errors, therehave the words confuse each other, missing words or redundant words and makingwords themselves. From the grammar category errors, there have the use of "at" in thephrase of "at", the confusion of preposition "in" and "to", the misuse of preposition"from" and the misuse of the time words related to quantifier. From the culturecategory areas, the time words at the same time sequencing errors, there have theerrors of the time word at the same time sequencing, the errors of express time aboutapplication of spatial words, the errors of express the word of long time and short timeand the errors of use the adjective "big” to express the time. Then from thenon-dominant point of view of the British students use time words mistakes. On thebasis of above, this paper further analyzes the causes of occurrence of errors. Thenegative transfer of mother tongue, the influence of learning strategies, teachingEnglish annotation is not accurate and the teachers teach improper and misleadingtool book. Based on this, the paper has also put forward some teaching advice.Highlights the important role of morpheme teaching, inductive thematic teaching,using comparative strategy about the time words and guide the students to form thecorrect thinking habits.
