Newspaper reading classes is an important course in advanced stage of Chinese learning,Chinese learners will master the actual capabilities of reading Chinese newspapers in thecourse. And the frame structures of newspaper sentence pattern are one of the most importantcontents in the newspaper reading classes. It can be the obstacles to the Chinese learner, and italso can be the key to solve the problems. The usage of the frame structures can help Chineselearners to improve the ability of reading newspaper. The frame structures of newspapersentence pattern are kind of frame structures of sentences, which is commonly used innewspapers and widely accepted by common people. Usually it need us to embed properwords to finish the sentence, thus to express the meaning of the whole sentence. It has manycharacteristics, such as written language style, framework style, stability, replaceability,selectivity and restriction of embedded component. And it also has several functions whichare functions of training language sense and simplified recognition, prompting and reducingof negative transfer of mother language, improving their reading speed and accuracy, positivepsychological suggestion. The form type and the classification of the collocation ofnewspaper common structures have two types, which are the words and words collocation inthe interior of simple sentence, and the clauses and clauses collocation in the complexsentence. The semantic function of the frame structures are emphasizing function, comparingfunction, time and space function, object function, evidence function, reason function, limitedscope function, qualification function, generalizing function, designation function. In teaching,we should emphasize the sorting and accumulating of the frame structures, compare thedifferences of the frame structures between Chinese and foreign language, generalize theregular pattern, explain the teaching countermeasures and methods of the key wordscollocation, combine fixed and temporary teaching material, and practise whether on class orafter class to intensify the operation and usage of the the frame structures.
